About Vera
Vera is a beautiful mother, a spiritual and committed yoga teacher at myDrishti Yoga. VERA CASEIRO
Certified Pregnancy Yoga Teacher, Massage Practitioner and Infant Massage Instructor
Prenatal Alliance Group Coordinator & Partner, Australia
Vera started studying and practicing pregnancy yoga in more depth when she fell pregnant herself, and felt in her own skin how transformative this journey is physically, emotionally and energetically, and how it can be stressful and overwhelming and mentally challenging. Pregnancy yoga helped her to enjoy this time with more ease, calm and confidence. She learned how to feel more connected with herself, her changing body and mind, with new sensations and emotions, and especially with her baby.
Practicing yoga while she was pregnant brought more awareness to different tools and resources that she could learn and practice all the way through in different stages and states of her pregnancies. She learned to be more patient with her body, and her baby with a nurturing and slow approach, as pregnancy yoga brings the time and space to feel in the moment, accept and surrender to each new sensation, thought and emotion. She knew the importance of the connection with breath and energy and applied it between herself and her babies, creating a very early and special bond between them and their yoga practice together.
She also learned the power of nurturing touch and became a Certified Infant Massage Instructor. Infant Massage offers a wonderful experience and a special time to communicate both verbally and non-verbally with babies, so that they feel loved, valued and respected. Pregnancy and Postnatal yoga helped her to find a safe and supportive environment to feel active, healthy, and connected with herself and her babies, and open to share and release physically, energetically and emotionally. It always reminds her that the journey is as much important as the destination, and that there are moments in the journey where you can feel powerful as mother earth - transforming and inspiring life, and other moments equally important for rest, inner connection and intimacy with the most pure, perfect and precious life creation.
With her passion for all things babies and parenthood, Vera was invited to become the Prenatal Alliance Group Coordinator and representative Partner for Australia. She advocates that being informed and educated about the importance of Prenatal Life and Parenting allows a parent to make informed decisions for their baby, their family and themselves, and develop their intuition and the genuine wisdom in their heart backed with a balanced foundation of evidence, research, cultural and family-centered values.
